During your visit to our site,”The Design Droid” a number of cookies will be in use to help the website function correctly. 

For example the shopping basket requires a cookie to track the contents of the basket whilst browsing our products. Further cookies are used to hold data for shipping and order processing.

This site runs on a content management system called WordPress, with our e-commerce platform running the globally used and respected WooCommerce platform which uses 3 cookies to store data for functionality.

2. “woocommerce_items_in_cart” – information about what’s in the cart and associated data.
3. “wp_woocommerce_session_” – a unique anonymous piece of data for each person

 

We also use Google Analytics (For any ad campaigns and analytical data) and Facebook pixel (for any Facebook advertising promotions we may run) which allow us to see vague geographical data of where our visitors are from and any other non-personal data so we can refine the end experience and help improve the service we provide to you.

The data is anonymous in nature and cannot in anyway be used to identify your personal details by an outside source.

The Facebook data is used primarily to synchronise between our products and our Facebook page and is for the purpose of advertising our products on Facebook should an ad campaign be running. Some of this data may also be used to show Likes/Shares and Recommendations to you.

Where indicated, if you choose to leave a comment on our site we will give you the option to save your name, email address and website URL which will be linked to a unique piece of data anonymously within a cookie. This is for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment or revisit the site. 

If you choose to visit our login page, a temporary cookie will be set to determine if your browser accepts cookies. The saved cookie contains no personal data and will be discarded when you close your web browser.
After a login, several cookies will be set saving your login information and any respective preferences you may have set. Login cookies last for a few days, and other preference style options last for about a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will remain for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed requiring you to log in again should you so wish.

Account creation.

Though we don’t insist you create an account when placing an order if you do register you will be able to track previous orders, maintain your details and subscribe to our mailing list for future products, artwork and designs.

Any data stored from your account will not be sold, disclosed, used or shared with any 3rd party unless we are required by law to do so or in accordance with our terms you violate(breach) these terms.

Other data such as your device IP address can be used by us to determine what operating system you use and the type of device you’re using so that we can deliver a suitable version of the site for your viewing screen type as well as helping us tailor future products base on this data.

Any third-party payment gateways we use, such as Stripe or PayPal will have their own privacy policies with regards to the information required for them to process payments. Should you the Buyer have any questions regarding their policies, please read these policies via the respective websites. Our website may contain links to other websites of interest such as affiliation partners, social media sites and other external sources. Once you the Buyer leave our site via any of these links, we do not have any control over the policies in place by these respective websites. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting these sites as they are not governed by our privacy policies. When placing an order with us the Seller you the Buyer acknowledge and warrant that you are of a legal age to purchase goods and services online and are of a legally recognised age of maturity in your country of residence.
